The annual summer camp, organised by the Dizenidani Association, took place this year from August 1 to September 1. Initiated in 2014 in South of Burkina Faso with the financial support of the Cuomo Foundation, the camp offers to the young people of Tiébélé extracurricular activities and free tuitions.
Along with academic and sports activities, the campers also benefited from an environmental awareness programme. On the last day of the camp, placed under the theme of « A Child - A Tree » the participants planted no less than 300 trees in the Doulnia school compound where the vents took place.
This 2017 season was marked by an unexpected yet rewarding increase in registrations. 123 students took part in this programme, which, while giving a boost to their academic activities, inculcates in young people valuable civic values.
Another feature of the event was the recruitments done by the local football club, A.S. Royal, which took advantage of the camp's sports activities to spot promising talents.
